Superdrive 30 Series I --Question Regarding Footswitch Jack(s) Empty
PostSubject: Superdrive 30 Series I --Question Regarding Footswitch Jack(s)   Superdrive 30 Series I --Question Regarding Footswitch Jack(s) EmptySat Oct 31, 2009 8:21 pm

Never joined a forum, but this amp makes me want to talk about it, so I joined. I've been playing for over 30 years and have searched for that elusive tone in my head and this has given it to me. I've been through Marshalls, Boogies, Bogners, and nothing has compared to this monster. I have used it for about 5 gigs and it is amazing. I have put a BB Preamp in the mix and my search and spending is over. If you can find one of these, I highly recommend that you buy it, because they are going to be priceless in 5 years.

One problem......and unfortunately I need help. It had no footswitch and the footswitch is not working. The push /pull channel changer does work though. There is a footswitch jack on the front, as well as one on the back? (It also has the cabinet changing footswitch option... which is really neat and another plus over the Series II). I cannot find any information on this amp or these 2 jacks, but neither work with a single button footswitch. I have traded e-mails with Mike Scaccia @ Budda and he hasn't been any help. He really doesn't appear to have any knowledge about the Series I's and they have no manuals.

Does anyone have a manual out there or able to shed any light on this footswitch issue? I need to get this resolved because I plan on using this one for many years.

THX

The series I had a unique switching system. To utilize the footswitch jack on the front you will need an orginal footswitch and a stereo (TRS) instrument cable. That is the only way you can use the input in the front. You can use the single inputs in the back labled Channel and Cab with a mono instrument cable and single button switch. If you want to use both you will need a seperate cable and switch for both.
