Is it possible, and likewise safe to use a solid state rectifier plug in an SD30II ? I just sold an 80, and it was "No tube rectification". It seemed a little tighter. Thanks in advance. Mike

Spoke to Jeff Bober. He DOES NOT recommend using a SS rectifier in the EL84 SD amps. The amps run hot, and the SS rectifier will pour too much juice to the tubes. Good to know!!
