SD18 Head & 2x12 open cab - Treble Question Empty
PostSubject: SD18 Head & 2x12 open cab - Treble Question   SD18 Head & 2x12 open cab - Treble Question EmptyTue Aug 31, 2010 1:44 pm

Hi Budda Users!

I bought a Budda SD18 Head and the Budda 2x12 Open Cab.
In the clean channel i set the treble half way up to get a nice clean sound with my Nocaster. But if I switch to the Drive Channel it is tooooo much treble for this.
Otherwise if i lower the trebles in the Drive Channel that it sounds good the normal channel without the higher treble sounds to muddy.
Any advices, tips, help???
Thanks from Germany.

I don't have a sd 18 but use a sd80 . I had treble problems at volume . This was caused by speaker beaming effect " a tight cone shaped high frequency that comes from the inner cone area of the speakers and radiates out, all highs . I solved this problem by using Beam Blockers from Weber speakers . This helps blend the high and lows together and mellows the tone out and saves the ears some . Ken
