About 4 months ago I bought a BUDDA SD II - 18. After the speaker started to break in I'm finding that this is becoming my "go to" amp.

I have always played through FENDER amps (with the exception of a TRAYNOR YCV40WR I owned for about 3 - 4 years). My question is this... What non-FENDER amp does the BUDDA sound similar to (VOX, MARSHALL)? Whatever that tone is, I'm really starting to like it (no... LOVE it)! 'Sorry for my ignorance!!!

Hi yardbird mac,

I've only spent a small amount of time with the SD II-18 myself.
It was the first time I played through a Budda. I would say that your assessment is about right. It seems to be in the Marshall (Plexi?) / Vox AC30 ballpark I guess.
